Rainymoodz is a free ambient sound website based in Kerala, India. We provide a collection of carefully selected natural and ambient sounds — rain, thunder, ocean waves, forest rain, night frogs, café murmur, fireplace, and more — all available to play instantly, with no account, no subscription, and no fees.
Whether you need to block out distracting noise while studying, unwind after a long day, or drift into a deep sleep at night — Rainymoodz is here for you.
WHY WE BUILT THIS
We know how hard it can be to focus in a noisy environment, or to fall asleep when your mind is busy. Research shows that consistent background sounds — especially natural sounds like rain — help mask distracting noise and create a calm mental environment.
We wanted to build something simple, beautiful, and completely free — a place where anyone could press play and instantly feel more relaxed.
WHAT MAKES RAINYMOODZ DIFFERENT
Free forever — No subscription, no login, no hidden fees. Every sound is free.
Sound Mixer — Mix multiple sounds at once. Play rain and café sounds together, or combine ocean waves with a fireplace. Adjust individual volumes to create your perfect blend.
Sleep Timer — Set a timer for 15, 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes. The sounds fade out gently as the timer ends, so you drift off without being startled awake.
Gapless Looping — Built using the Web Audio API, our sounds loop seamlessly with zero gap or click at the loop point. Once you press play, you will not hear the sound restart.
Dark Mode — Our interface automatically matches your device’s light or dark preference. You can also toggle it manually at any time.
Mobile First — Rainymoodz is designed specifically for phone users. Large, easy-to-tap buttons, smooth animations, and no lag even on older devices.
New Sounds Regularly — We add new sounds regularly. Coming soon: Kerala monsoon rain, temple bells, backwater ambience, and more.

We are proud to be a Kerala-based project. We plan to add sounds unique to Kerala — the sound of monsoon rain on a tin roof, the backwaters, temple bells in the rain — to give our website a character that is truly our own.
